This is a compilation of songs from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries gathered from two original sources owned by Miguel Solomon, musician and singer born in Amecameca in 1897. The book is presented with three introductory notes: Teresa Rojas, Guillermo Bonfil and Ricardo Pérez Monfort. According to Bonfil Batalla's study, the troubadours that composed the lyrics of this collection are from three generations, the first of which lived in the 19th century and the Porfiriato, the next generation prior to the Revolution and the third that belongs to the armed movement in the 20th century.
