Artist María José Arjona (Colombia, 1973) is considered the most outstanding artist of the Colombian performance scene. This anthological exhibition included drawings, collages, sculptures, live actions, photographs, videos, installations and sound works from her 20 years career. The revision of her work was assigned to a group of young local artists who have been invited and were trained by Arjona so that together with her, they reactivate emblematic performances of her career. Five of the eight performances that make up the exhibition were reenacted by Arjona and a group of young artists. Other performances of her career were recorded in photography, video and objects. Additionally, it included 2 sculptures, 3 series of drawings, 11 videos, 10 objects and a series of collages. The performers present in this artistic project were Daniela Amaya, Diana Ángel, Jennyfer Caro, Walter Antonio Cobos, Susana Gómez, Santiago González Quintero, Mario Orbes, Verónica Orozco, Camilo Ospina, Alejandro Penagos Díaz, Daissy Viviana Robayo, Bernardo Tovar, Catalina Urdaneta, Javiera Valenzuela, Didier Vergel and Felipe Villamil. María José Arjona was a contemporary ballet dancer before making her transition to art.
