LUIS EDUARDO GARCIA
These poems are far from a world full of light and beauty, somewhere where characters are more human and nature is more mysterious and fantastic. This is a world inhabited by princesses with enamored lice in their hair, as well as princesses made of wire that cant dance; mermaids falling in love with dragon fishes, moths and cockroaches invading peoples brains, and fungi that grow endlessly. Questioning the nature of things, such as what music is or facing death, the author constantly explores these topics with an ironic language. Collaborating in the creation of this world, Adolfo Serra illustrates this natural and dreamy space creating fantasy characters and scenes, full of details that the reader will have to identify to discover itself in the universe contained in this book, winner of the Hispano-American Poetry Price for Children 2017.
